About the position

In this role, you’ll be responsible for defining and executing Qualitas’ business and channel strategy within the Australian Independent Financial Advisers (IFA) and Platform Market with a focus on wholesale investors. You will be accountable for achieving agreed AUM sales objectives and leading a high-performing national sales team.

Location: Sydney or Melbourne

 

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive distribution strategy targeting financial planners, stockbrokers, and other wholesale investors to expand Qualitas’ funds under management.
  • Strengthen and expand financial planner relationships for Qualitas-listed vehicles, including QRI and QAL.
  • Collaborate with management to establish a clear marketing plan with defined priorities, geographic focus, travel schedule, meeting objectives, and budget allocations.
  • Enhance investment commitments from existing Qualitas wholesale investors through strategic engagement initiatives.
  • Maintain and update the investor CRM with accurate and up-to-date contact details and meeting schedules.
  • Oversee the client services team’s strategy and management, ensuring the creation and timely updating of investor presentations, flyers, reports, and communications.
  • Coordinate investor due diligence questionnaires (DDQ) and follow-ups, with support from the Client Services team.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for new product development, focusing on market penetration, profitability, return targets, and fund structures.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Investment, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Finance, to ensure adherence to governance and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a culture of responsible finance, sound governance, teamwork, and ethical business practices.
  • Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements, ensuring that business decisions uphold the firm’s reputation and compliance obligations.
  • Conduct periodic travel to engage with Qualitas’ clients and prospective investors.
  • Represent the firm at suitable industry events and conferences.

 

What you’ll bring to the role

  • A tertiary qualification in finance, business or commerce.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a senior role within financial markets.
  • Proven track record of success in the IFA and Platform market in Australia.
  • Experience leading teams in a dynamic, fast-paced funds management environment.
